Each year the American Sportfishing Association (ASA) holds the world's largest sportfishing trade show called ICAST (International Convention of Allied Sportfishing Trades). The show has shifted between Las Vegas and Orlando in the past. But for the past two years and again next year, ICAST will be held at the Orange County Convention Center located on International Drive in Orlando, Florida. I attended the 2008 ICAST in Las Vegas when I helped Dry-Grip Sunscreen introduce their new dry sunscreen to anglers. I have not missed one ICAST since 2008 except when it returned to Las Vegas. Having ICAST in Florida, the fishing capital of the world, only makes good business sense because you cannot fish in Las Vegas like you can at any of the lakes in Orange County, Florida. Orlando, in my opinion is the only place to have this show. Surf Expo has made that decision hosting two shows a year at the Orange County Convention Center in January and September.
